Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls features in all of our Botswana itineraries for very good reason. The Falls themselves are spectacular, no matter the time of year or amount of water. They are said to be the largest waterfalls in the world. This destination is a must for all travellers who appreciate natural beauty and the history behind the discovery of one of the world’s most famous natural wonders. The vibrant little town itself has blossomed due to tourism and there really is something here for everyone. In addition to the Falls, the other site of significant cultural and historical interest is the Victoria Falls Bridge.
For lovers of wildlife, the town itself is within the Zambezi National Park and in close proximity with other private parks and reserves. It is not unusual to see Elephant, Buffalo, Warthog and Baboon in town, particularly at night or on the grassy lawns of some of the more prestigious hotels. Game drives and interactive animal experiences are available, though it is important to ensure that with any big game interaction that the animals are handled professionally and sensitively.
A wide selection of accommodation is available. So many options, it can be difficult to decide on just one! We will advise you dependent on the time you have, the experience you are looking for and your budget. There is something for everyone from camping to 5 star luxury.
Dining options are extensive. Numerous cafes, restaurants, bars (there is even a micro brewery) and hotels to appeal to any taste and dietary preference.
